The atmosphere there is amazing, food is amazing, overall a joy to have a custom piece

Started revisiting this process of automation paint sketching. Layering ideas, colors but keeping it very clean and simple. Its a great exercise when hashing out all the ideas in my head, especially when i hit a block. No start point. No end. Just stop when it feels right.

Good Luck Healer mural

We approached the city of Winnipeg with its largest Aerosol mural project. In the 'village' district we blessed it with a good luck healer buddha. Overlooking Osborne street, one of the busiest high traffic areas in Canada. Rolling and blocking in backgrounds we were able to execute the rest with ease and quickness considering the size. The stand alone lift was an added challenge to the project. We are very proud to have left the 'osborne village' with a new look.

Bakshi Inspired Mural

Hood Hoprz approached our mural biz "Aquila Productions" with a new facelift on their side wall.
We went with a long time favorite director of animated and live-action films, Ralph Bakshi. With creations such as Wizards, Fritz the Cat and Heavy Traffic, we definitely had an arsenal of characters and backdrops to work with.

I decided to roll the whole background - no brushes. mini roller for details. My business partner and I attacked the characters via aerosol - give it that cell animation feel. We had a cameo artist come down to do the lettering.

Bakshi himself saw the images of the finished product and said LOVE IT!
we are proud of this one.

Endo Clothing approached me with a challenge to paint the floor of their new shop.
Giving the customers the illustion of stepping on to a living, breathing floor with god like creatures submerging to the top.

Pandora Mural

This was a private commission for an indoor mural in a friend's home. The theme for this mural was the jungle atmosphere of 'pandora' from the film "AVATAR". Since the film simulated a glowing surreal color scheme through out it, i used different medium types to achieve the same. Metallic paints to allow a shimmer in certain areas while you walk past.

More interesting tho is the 'glow in the dark' paints meshed into mural. Once the lights are off - the jungle lights up.
There are many hidden elements; faces, creatures, details, etc.
Definitely a work meant to be seen in person.

Had the pleasure of Designing Random & Lost Perception's Black Materia album a few months back. It also came in DVD format as well for those collectors out there.

The whole album is Final Fantasy 7 themed. For you heads out there reaching for something new and progressive - cop this.
